Russia expels 3 Moldovan diplomats in retaliatory move

The Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday that it will expel three employees from the Moldovan embassy in Moscow as a retaliatory move, reported Xinhua.

The ministry summoned the Moldovan ambassador to Russia and lodged a strong protest over Moldova's decision on Monday to expel three Russian diplomats for alleged activities incompatible with diplomatic status, it said in a statement.

Accusations of Russian diplomats interfering in Moldova's internal affairs "have no grounds," the ministry added.
