Fire extinguished at Russian central bank building with no casualties

A fire that broke out at the building of the Russian central bank Friday in downtown Moscow has been put out and it caused no casualties.

The fire started at around 8:30 p.m. Moscow time (1730 GMT) and it was extinguished within half an hour, according to the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

The fire affected about 30 square meters and nobody was hurt, the central bank said.

The cause of the incident is being investigated.
