The death toll in a flood that hit Russia's Krasnodar Territory has increased to six, the local branch of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said Friday.
"According to updated data, six people died as a result of heavy rains and mud flows in the Krasnodar Territory," the ministry said.
A state of emergency was declared after heavy rains flooded railway lines, delayed trains and destroyed a bridge on the Tuapse-Maikop highway on Wednesday.
Post-flood restoration involves 1,460 people and 330 pieces of construction hardware and special equipment, the ministry said.
