Five people were killed and eleven others were injured in a building fire in the Turkish capital Ankara, Ankara Governor Vasip Sahin said on Friday morning.

The fire has erected in an abandoned three-story building in the Iskitler Ata Industrial Housing Estate, where paper collectors, most of which were Afghan nationals, used as a warehouse.

Firefighters and ambulances were dispatched to the scene immediately and the fire was now under control.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, Sahin said, adding the paper material might have caught on fire.
