Helsinki opens corona virus advice service

Helsinki on March 2 Monday, opened a telephone advice service intended for its residents concerning the corona virus COVID-19 outbreak, said the City of Helsinki in a bulletin.

The service is intended for the residents of Helsinki who suspect that they have been exposed to the corona virus or whose symptoms indicate that they may have been infected with the virus. You can also call the service at the number if you are concerned about the exposure or symptoms of a loved one.

The telephone number of the new advice service is 09 310 10024. The service is open from 7:00 to 20:00 hours from Monday to Friday.

“We want to offer the residents of Helsinki a quick and easy way to ask questions and be informed, if they feel anxious about issues related to the corona virus. At the same time, we hope that this service will help take some of the burden off the other contact channels for healthcare services,” said Helsinki City Medical Director of Health Stations Timo Lukkarinen.

Lukkarinen sdaid, “Generally speaking, the residents of Helsinki do not need to be concerned about the corona virus at present. In terms of a possible corona virus outbreak, the situation in Helsinki is currently safe.”

Residents of Helsinki can also turn to the medical helpline (tel # 116 117) in matters concerning corona virus infections in the evening after 20 and on the weekend. Standard telephone charges are applied to phone calls to the corona virus helpline.
