Coronavirus death toll ups to 42 in Finland

The coronavirus death toll in Finland has risen to 42 as two more patients- one in Pohjois-Savo Hospital District (KYS) and one in Turku Hospital District (TYKS)- died in the last 24 hours, the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) said on Thursday.
According to THL, so far 25 people died in Helsinki-Uusimaa hospital district (HUS), 13 in Pohjois-Savo Hospital District (KYS), two in Turku Hospital District (TYKS), one in Tampere- Pirkanmaa (TAYS) Hospital District and one in Pohjois-Pohjanmaa (OYS) Hospital District.
The THL, however, did not divulge any details about the deceased considering their confidentiality.
Meanwhile, the number of total coronavirus infection cases in the country has increased to 2605, as 118 more cases were diagnosed on Thursday, said THL.
A total of 244 patients remain admitted to different hospitals, including 82 in the intensive care units.
