Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus infection cases in the country has increased to 5327, as 73 more cases had been diagnosed in the 24 hours until Monday afternoon.
The number of coronavirus infections in Finland is likely to be much higher than is reported, as not all those with mild symptoms have been tested thus far and there is no data available on asymptomatic infections.
So far more than 3,500 patients have recovered from the disease, said THL.
Presently, 197 coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals, including 49 in intensive care units.
Currently, laboratories are testing about 5,500 samples a day and their testing capacity is being increased gradually.
In relation to Finland’s total population (5,543,233), the prevalence of cases is 96 cases per 100,000 people, the THL report pointed out.
