A new drive-in coronavirus testing point was opened on Wednesday in the square of the old Malmi Airport, said the City of Helsinki in a press release.

The testing point will remain open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm daily.

The point is a 300 square feet tent structure with a two-lane drive-in. Besides cars, people can also arrive to the location on foot, bike, or public transport.

The facilities of the testing point can be extended, if necessary. The tent works in all weather conditions, also in the winter; and the testing facilities are heated.

A guard at the airport gate will direct the drivers, pedestrians and cyclists to the location reserved for customers at the testing area.

The city’s own coronavirus testing points are currently located in Kruununhaka, Jätkäsaari, Itäkeskus, and Kannelmäki.

Furthermore, HUS also has testing points in Helsinki in Meilahti and outside the New Children’s Hospital. A private partner in their locations in Messukeskus and Itäkeskus also tests the customers in Helsinki.
