1 more death, 502 new coronavirus infections diagnosed in 3 days

The number of coronavirus deaths in Finland increased to 363, as one more patient died in the Pohjois-Savo Hospital District (KYS) in the last three days since Saturday, said the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) on Monday.
Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country has increased to 17,887 as 502 more cases were diagnosed in the last three days.
So far a total of 289 people have died in the Helsinki-Uusimaa Hospital District (HUS), 26 in the Pohjois-Savo Hospital District (KYS), 22 in the Turku Hospital District (TYKS), 14 in the Pohjois-Pohjanmaa Hospital District (OYS), and 12 in the Tampere-Pirkanmaa (TAYS) Hospital District.
Until Monday, 12, 700 or more than 75% coronavirus-infected patients in Finland had recovered.
A total of 86 coronavirus patients, including 13 in intensive care units (ICUs), are now undergoing treatment at different hospitals.
According to the THL report, in relation to Finland’s total population (5,543,233), the prevalence of COVID-19 cases is 323 per 100,000 people. Currently, laboratories in the country have the testing capacity of about 20,000 samples a day.
