11 more deaths, 501 new coronavirus infections diagnosed in 24 hours

The coronavirus death toll in Finland increased to 453 as 11 more patients died at different hospitals in the country in the last 24 hours, said the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) on Friday.
Out of the deaths, three were reported in the Helsinki-Uusimaa Hospital District (HUS), six in the Pohjois-Savo Hospital District (KYS), one the Turku Hospital District (TYKS), and one in the Tampere-Pirkanmaa (TAYS) Hospital District.
Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country has increased to 30, 073 as 501 more cases were diagnosed in the last 24 hours.
So far a total of 333 people have died in the Helsinki-Uusimaa Hospital District (HUS), 48 in the Pohjois-Savo Hospital District (KYS), 25 in the Pohjois-Pohjanmaa Hospital District (OYS), 24 in the Turku Hospital District (TYKS), and 23 in the Tampere-Pirkanmaa (TAYS) Hospital District.
Until Friday, 20,000 or more than 70% coronavirus-infected patients in Finland had recovered.
A total of 240 coronavirus patients, including 26 in intensive care units (ICUs), are now undergoing treatment at different hospitals.
According to the THL report, in relation to Finland’s total population (5,543,233), the prevalence of COVID-19 cases is 543 per 100,000 people.
Currently, laboratories in the country have the testing capacity of about 26,000 samples a day.
