6 more deaths, 411 new coronavirus infections diagnosed in 24 hours

The coronavirus death toll in Finland increased to 472 as six more patients- five in the Helsinki-Uusimaa Hospital District (HUS) and one in the Pohjois-Savo Hospital District (KYS)- died in the last 24 hours, said the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country has increased to 31,870 as 411 more cases were diagnosed in the last 24 hours.
The THL, however, revised the deaths number at Tampere-Pirkanmaa (TAYS) Hospital District from 25 to 24.
So far a total of 345 people have died in the Helsinki-Uusimaa Hospital District (HUS), 48 in the Pohjois-Savo Hospital District (KYS), 29 in the Turku Hospital District (TYKS), 26 in the Pohjois-Pohjanmaa Hospital District (OYS), and 24 in the Tampere-Pirkanmaa (TAYS) Hospital District.
Until Wednesday, 22, 500 or more than 70% coronavirus-infected patients in Finland had recovered.
A total of 268 coronavirus patients, including 34 in intensive care units (ICUs), are now undergoing treatment at different hospitals.
According to the THL report, in relation to Finland’s total population (5,543,233), the prevalence of COVID-19 cases is 575 per 100,000 people.
Currently, laboratories in the country have the testing capacity of about 26,000 samples a day.
