5 more deaths, 303 new coronavirus infections diagnosed in 24 hours

The coronavirus death toll in Finland increased to 511 as five more patients died at different hospitals in the country in the last 24 hours, said the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) on Tuesday.
Out of the deaths, two were reported in the Helsinki-Uusimaa Hospital District (HUS) and one in the Pohjois-Savo Hospital District (KYS), Turku Hospital District (TYKS) and Tampere-Pirkanmaa (TAYS) Hospital District each.
Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country has increased to 33,717 as 303 more cases were diagnosed in the last 24 hours.
So far a total of 359 people have died in the Helsinki-Uusimaa Hospital District (HUS), 60 in the Pohjois-Savo Hospital District (KYS), 34 in the Turku Hospital District (TYKS), 31 in the Tampere-Pirkanmaa (TAYS) Hospital District and 27 in the Pohjois-Pohjanmaa Hospital District (OYS).
Until Tuesday, 22, 500 or more than 70% coronavirus-infected patients in Finland had recovered.
A total of 273 coronavirus patients, including 28 in intensive care units (ICUs), are now undergoing treatment at different hospitals.
According to the THL report, in relation to Finland’s total population (5,543,233), the prevalence of COVID-19 cases is 608 per 100,000 people.
Currently, laboratories in the country have the testing capacity of about 26,000 samples a day.
