22 more deaths,1053 new coronavirus cases diagnosed in 5 days

The coronavirus death toll in Finland increased to 546 as 22 more patients died at different hospitals in the country in the last five days since Wednesday afternoon, said the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) on Monday.
Out of the deaths, 12 were reported in the Helsinki-Uusimaa Hospital District (HUS), five in the Pohjois-Savo Hospital District (KYS) and five in Tampere-Pirkanmaa (TAYS) Hospital District.
Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country has increased to 35,137 as 1053 more cases were diagnosed in the last five days.
Out of the infections, 363 were reported on Thursday, 201 on Friday, 173 on Saturday, 156 on Sunday and 160 on Monday, said the THL.
So far a total of 380 people have died in the Helsinki-Uusimaa Hospital District (HUS), 67 in the Pohjois-Savo Hospital District (KYS), 35 in the Turku Hospital District (TYKS), 37 in the Tampere-Pirkanmaa (TAYS) Hospital District and 27 in the Pohjois-Pohjanmaa Hospital District (OYS).
Until Monday, 26, 000 or more than 75% coronavirus-infected patients in Finland had recovered.
A total of 237 coronavirus patients, including 29 in intensive care units (ICUs), are now undergoing treatment at different hospitals.
According to the THL report, in relation to Finland’s total population (5,543,233), the prevalence of COVID-19 cases is 634 per 100,000 people.
Currently, laboratories in the country have the testing capacity of about 26,000 samples a day.
