7 more deaths,1618 new coronavirus infections diagnosed in 3 days

The coronavirus death toll in Finland increased to 774 as seven more patients died at different hospitals in the country in the three days since Friday afternoon, said the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) on Monday.
Out of the deaths, six were reported in the in Helsinki-Uusimaa Hospital District (HUS) while one was reported in Pohjois-Pohjanmaa Hospital District (OYS).
Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country has increased to 62, 522 as 1618 new cases were diagnosed in the last three days.
Out of the new cases, 648 infections were diagnosed on Saturday, 511 on Sunday, and 459 on Monday, said the THL.
The total number of the coronavirus variants increased to 1, 295 in the country. Out of the cases 1,223 were UK variants, 71 South African variants, and one was Brazilian variant.
So far, 508 people have died in the Helsinki-Uusimaa Hospital District (HUS), 81 in the Turku Hospital District (TYKS), 79 in the Pohjois-Savo Hospital District (KYS), 64 in the Tampere-Pirkanmaa Hospital District (TAYS) and 42 in the Pohjois-Pohjanmaa Hospital District (OYS).
A total of 251 coronavirus patients, including 37 in intensive care units (ICUs), are now undergoing treatment at different hospitals.
According to the THL report, in relation to Finland’s total population (5,537,046), the prevalence of COVID-19 cases is 1129 per 100,000 people.
Currently, laboratories in the country have the testing capacity of about 30,000 samples a day.
