The City of Helsinki introduced coronavirus helpline in Somali and Arabic languages, said an official press release on Monday.
The coronavirus helpline in Somali and Arabic is available on weekdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at the telephone number 09 310 10011.
People may ask for advice on, for example, how to protect against the coronavirus, the coronavirus tests, and the vaccination.
The calls are answered in Somali and Arabic by advisers who work at the Helsinki City’s information service ‘Helsinki-Info’.
“By providing the coronavirus helpline in foreign languages, we want to reach out to people who may not be reached by means of written communications on the web or paper. At the coronavirus helpline, we offer an easier way to ask for advice. We want to reach out to the customers who are currently unable to reach our coronavirus information desk,” said Project Manager Minttu Lepänaho.
The coronavirus helpline at the city’s social and healthcare division provides advice in Finnish, Swedish, and English at telephone number 09 310 10024 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
