1 held for issuing threat to Iso Omena shopping centre

The police arrested a young man on charge of writing a threat note against a shopping centre in the Matinkylä area of Espoo, said a police press release on Thursday.

The detainee is suspected of writing the threat note published in TOR-website against Iso Omena shopping centre.

Chief Inspector Teemu Värtinen said the police are initially investigating into the matter as an unlawful threat.

The police said the information they have at the moment indicates that it is safe to run errands normally everywhere in the shopping centre area.

“In the future days our police patrols will be moving around the shopping centres in Espoo. This is part of our daily co-operation between the police and shopping centres,” Värtinen added.
