The majority of the people in the country consider fire fighters as the most trusted among the professionals, according to a trustworthiness survey conducted by the Readers Digest magazine together with the British market researcher Wyman Dillon, reported the national broadcaster Yle.
The survey also showed that people’s trust in politicians has faded since the turn of the century.
Fire fighters ranked top in the trust level with the trust of 98 per cent of the respondents, followed by pharmacy workers.
The professionals who were considered as the least trusted are in the profession of phone sales and politics.
Only six per cent respondents showed trust in the integrity of people involved in telemarketing, while 11 per cent trusted politicians.
Among the other professionals who received higher trust level are pilots, nurses, and artisans like carpenters and seamstresses, said the Yle report.
Professionals who got lower scores in trustworthiness are investment advisers, car salespersons, and trade union leaders, the survey said.
The survey was conducted in late 2016 with 1,900 respondents taking part.
The margin of error was estimated at 2.2 percentage points in either direction.
