Postal and logistic services operator, Posti will open 15 polling centres across the country for casting advance votes in the upcoming municipality elections scheduled for April 9.

The advance vote could be cast from March 29 to April 4, said a recent press release.

Each municipality selects the locations for its advance polling stations. In Helsinki, Posti offers many opportunities for voting in advance with 12 advance voting stations. In addition, some Posti outlets offer the possibility of advance voting in Espoo, Hyvinkää and Oulu.

Posti's advance polling stations are available in eight Posti outlets in Helsinki at Helsinki Main Post Office, Posti outlet, (entrance opposite Kiasma art museum), Punavuori Posti outlet, Kasarmitori, posti outlet, Munkkivuori posti outlet, Etu-Vallia Posti outlet, Hakaniemi posti outlet, Herttoniemi posti outlet and Itäkeskus Posti outlet.

In addition, Posti cooperates with four shopping centers to organize advance voting in Helsinki. These are Ruoholahti Shopping center, Konala Shopping center, Kannelmäki Shopping center and Malmi Shopping center.

Posti's advance polling centre will be also available in three Posti outlets in Espoo, Hyvinkää and Oulu.

Any eligible voter can cast vote in advance at any advance voting station, also outside his or her home town.

All Posti outlets offering advance voting can be recognized by the sign on the door. For over 40 years, Posti has served as a familiar and trustworthy place to cast a ballot.

In accordance with the Election Act, the municipal board is responsible for organizing the advance vote in Finland. In addition to Posti outlets, advance polling stations can be found in public administration offices and libraries.
