22 killed in road mishaps in July

At least 22 people were killed and 536 others injured in 435 separate road accidents across the country in July, according to the Statistics Finland.
The number of persons killed was six lower and that of persons injured 46 lower than in July 2016.
Of the persons who were killed, 11 travelled by private cars and four by motorcycles.
Pedestrians killed in road traffic accidents numbered one and cyclists four.
In addition, two other road users were killed. Among those who died, 14 were men and eight were women.
A total of 2,419 road traffic accidents involving personal injury happened in January to July period. A total of 131 persons have been killed and 3,057 injured.
