The Prime Minister, Juha Sipilä on Monday condemned the terrorist attack in Barcelona and expressed his profound shock.

At least 58 people were killed and over 500 others wounded in a mass shooting at a concert Sunday night outside of the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas in the U.S. state of Nevada.

The death toll if confirmed would make the mass shooting the deadliest in U.S. history and surpass the 49 killed at an Orlando nightclub last year.

“My deepest condolences to the victims of the awful attack in Las Vegas. Our thoughts are with all those affected,” wrote Juha Sipilä, also chief of the ruling Suomen Keskusta (Centre Party), in his Twitter immediately after the attack.
