Niinistö, Putin, hold telephone conversations

President Sauli Niinistö on Friday made a telephone call to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin and discussed various, said a press release issued by the President office.
The topics discussed by the presidents included Arctic cooperation, also in the context of black carbon, great power relations, aviation safety over the Baltic Sea as well as the situation in Ukraine and President Putin's initiative of deploying peacekeepers in eastern Ukraine.
The presidents also talked about the bilateral relations and economic cooperation between Finland and Russia, the press release added.
