Niinistö to meet US Defence Secretary

President Sauli Niinistö will meet the US Defence Sectretary James Mattis at the Presidential Palace on Monday.
Niinistö and Mattis had met in February this year during the Munich Security Conference, said an official press release from the Office of the President.
Mattis will participate in the Northern Group defence ministers’ session in Helsinki on November 7.
The defence ministers will discuss security issues in northern Europe as well as transatlantic defence cooperation during the session.
The Northern Group includes Nordic and Baltic nations as well as the Netherlands, Great Britain, Poland and Germany.
