Road mishaps claim 5 lives in Loimaa, Kouvola, Pello

Five people were killed in three separate road accidents at Loimaa, Kouvola and Pello late Saturday night and Sunday, police and local media said.
Southwestern Finland police said that two people were killed when a private car collided with the wall of a roadside warehouse at the intersection of Hannunkatu and Varastokuja in Loimaa late Saturday night.
The incident took place at about 11:00 pm when a fire broke out at the car after hitting the wall, police said in a press release on Sunday.
Two young adults onboard the car died on the spot in the accident.
Local people rushed to the spot and tried to extinguish the fire but failed to bring the fire under control.
Later firefighters arrived and douse the fire but found the victims dead, said police.
After the preliminary investigation police suspected that high speeding may lead the deadly accident.
Meanwhile, one person was killed when a private car knocked down a caravan from the behind on Valtatie near Ruhanmäki,in Kouvola on Sunday.
Driver of the car died on the spot in the accident, said police in another press release on Sunday.
In another accident, two middle-aged men were killed when two private cars collided head on near Pello on Rovaniemi-Pello road in Lapland on Saturday afternoon, local media reported, quoting police.
Drivers of both the cars died on the spot while a passenger of a car was injured. The injured person was taken to the Oulu University Hospital.
Police, however, did not divulge the identities of the deceased and the wounded person.
The Accident Investigation Board and Police are investigating into the incidents to find out the reason behind the accidents.
