21 killed in road mishaps in Nov

At least 21 persons were killed and 266 others injured in 227 road accidents in the country in November, according to Statistics Finland.

The number of dead was two lower and the number of persons injured 77 lower than in November 2021.

Out of the deceased, 15 travelled by passenger car, one by van and one by lorry. Killed pedestrians numbered three and cyclists one.

Among those who died, 16 were men and five were women.

Meanwhile, 179 persons were killed and 3,470 persons injured in a total of 2,833 road accidents from January to November.

The number of persons killed was 25 lower and that of persons injured 88 lower than in the corresponding period of 2021.

Of the persons who were killed, 111 travelled by passenger car, two by van, one by moped, 21 by motorcycle and three by lorry.

Pedestrians killed numbered 21 and cyclists 17. In addition, three other road users were killed.
