Bandit held after robbery at watch shop in Mikkeli

Bandit took away jewelry goods worth about 20 thousand euros from a watch shop in Mikkeli, a city in Eastern Finland on Monday afternoon.

Police said that the alleged robber stormed into the shop named Mikkeliäinen Kelloliike at Porrassalmenkatu area in the city at about 2:00pm and snatched the goods from there.

The bandit left the scene immediately after the robbery.

Responding to an alarm the police conducted extensive drive at the locality immediately after the incident and arrested the suspected bandit at about 4:00 pm.

The police also recovered jewelry goods worth about 20 thousand euros from his possession.

Members of the law enforcing agency suspected that the goods were snatched from the watch shop.

Police did not divulge the detail identity of the alleged bandit but said that the robber is a man from Eastern Finland.

Police are investigating into the case a robbery.
