Opposition Kansallinen Kokoomus (National Coalition Party-NCP) lawmaker Wille Rydman, who faced investigation into allegations of inappropriate behavious to women on Tuesday announced that he will join the Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party).
Rydman, who resigned from the parliamentary group of the party following allegations of inappropriate behavious to women in June 2022, in his personal blog also wrote that he will contest in the upcoming parliamentary elections as a Perussuomalaiset candidate from Helsinki constituency.
He has been serving as a Kokoomus member since 2002 and was elected lawmaker twice since the 2015 elections wrote that he was thinking for a long that his point of view is much more suitable with the Perussuomalaiset.
He also wrote that the Perussuomalaiset´s support increased since 2017 prompting him to choose the party as better option than the Kokoomus.
In June 2022, a leading Finnish language leading newspaper Helsingin Sanomat published a report saying that several women accused the MP of his moves to get access to young women and girls using his political identity.
The National Prosecution Authority, however, in December said the NBI's probe showed that there is no ground to support the suspect as guilty.
