Savola visits Sweden, Estonia to discuss NATO bid, Ukraine

The newly appointed Defence Minister Mikko Savola will make his first official visit to Sweden and Estonia on Monday, said the ministry in a press release.
He will discuss Finland and Sweden's NATO membership process, the security situation in the neighbouring regions and materiel cooperation and support to Ukraine with his counterparts in Stockholm and Tallinn during the visit.
On Monday morning, Savola will meet Sweden's Minister of Defence Pål Jonson in Stockholm.
After the visit, Savola will continue to Tallinn, where he will have a meeting with Estonia's Minister of Defence Hanno Pevkur.
Mikko Savola, lawmaker of the Suomen Keskusta (Centre Party), the second largest component of the five-party alliance government took over as the Minister of Defence on January 5.
