Many detained in connection with Pori shooting

The police detained several people on Sunday in connection with the shooting which took place in the early morning of Sunday at the Pori city centre.

The police did not specify the number of persons arrested since the investigations were still ongoing, reported the local media.

The shooting which happened at 2 am on Sunday is being investigated as attempted murder and firearm offence.

According to the police, a middle-aged man was shot at the city centre. His life, however, was not in immediate danger, said the police.

The police will avail more information on the incident on Monday.
