Kokoomus tops in popularity, SDP 2nd: Polls

The Suomen Sosialidemokraattinen Puolue (Social Democratic Party of Finland-SDP) has reduced the popularity gap with Kansallinen Kokoomus (National Coalition Party), according to the latest popularity barometer published by the Finnish language newspaper Helsingin Sanomat.
The difference between the two parties now stands at 2.4 per cent compared to 3.8 percent in October.
Kokoomus still remains the most popular party in the country with 21.4 per cent supporters, followed by SDP with 19.0 per cent. The Vihreä Liitto (Green League) is third with support of 15.7 per cent people and the Suomen Keskusta (Centre Party of Finland) is fourth with 15.1 percent.
The research company TNS interviewed 2,434 Finns in October-November under the polls. The margin of error was +/- 2 per cent.
