PAM cancels strike in cleaning, real estate sectors

Service Union United (Palvelualojen ammattiliitto) PAM cancelled its earlier announced strike scheduled to be observed on Thursday and Friday, said PAM early Thursday night.

“An agreement was reached, and the facility services sector strikes were cancelled at the last moment,” said PAM in a press release issued just after midnight.

Earlier, PAM called the strikes as no collective agreement has been reached with the Real Estate Employers regarding the pay hike, although the previous collective agreement ended on 28 February.

PAM and Real Estate Employers both on Wednesday rejected the third mediation proposal by the National Conciliator in the facility services sector labour dispute, said PM in a press release on Wednesday, adding that the third round of strike starts on Thursday.

Earlier, PAM observed first round strike on 16-18 March and the second strike was on 23-24 March.
