1 killed in road mishap in Sotkamo

One person was killed in a road accident in Sotkamo, a municipality in the Kainuu region on Monday morning, police said in a press release.
The accident took place at about 7:30 am when a private car collided with another car on Parkuantie road at the area.
The driver of one car, who was alone onboard was killed in the accident.
The Police, however, did not divulge details about the deceased.
The reason behind the accident could not be known immediately but police said that the condition of the road was bad at the time of the accident.
The Accident Investigation Board and Police are investigating into the incident to find out the circumstances surrounding the accident.
