Häme police recovered 34 packets of narcotic substances during a series raids at a mail distribution centre in Lahti, national broadcaster Yle reported on Friday.

The drugs included marijuana, pills etc, said the report.

The intended recipients and the senders of the packages are suspected of using illegal drugs and attempts to illegal drugs trading respectively.

"We occasionally conduct checks when there is reason to suspect that drugs are on the move," Detective Inspector Jari Kiiskinen told Yle.
