PM gets WPL Trailblazer Award in Brussels

Prime Minister Sanna Marin on Thursday received a Women Political Leaders (WPL) Trailblazer Award in Brussels.

The outgoing Premier also spoke at the award giving ceremony on the occasion at the Belgian Parliament, according to an official press release.

Marin in her keynote speech emphasized the value of female role models, ️democratic structures making female leadership possible and ️importance of young women embracing their rightful place in decision-making, the Finnish Embassy to Brussels wrote in a twitter post.

Along with the event at the Belgian Parliament, Marin also held a bilateral meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, said Finnish government and NATO in separate release.

Neither NATO, nor the Finnish government did not tell detail about the topic of the meeting between Marin and Stoltenberg.
