Finland to buy 17 Jurmo-class landing craft

Finnish Defence Forces will procure 17 Jurmo-class landing craft with spare parts at a cost of 25.5 million euros.
Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen approved the procurement on Thursday, said the Ministry of Defence in a press release.
The mobility of coastal troops will be maintained and developed until the end of the 2030s by the new Jurmos.
The landing craft will be delivered by Marine AluTech Oy AB. The overall value of the procurement, without value added tax, is EUR 25.5 million, and the domestic employment effect will be about 110 person-years, the press release added.
