The two persons who resisted the suspect in Turku murders in August this year will not face charges, reported the national broadcaster Yle quoting the prosecutors.

The police said the suspected murderer did not sustain wounds in the alleged attack by the duo and there was no adequate evidence to investigate into the matter.

The investigators did not manage to identify any other bystander who participated in the move to resist the attacker.

The brutal attack on Aug 18 in Turku led to the death of two Finnish women and injuries of eight others.

The suspect in Turku knife attack was identified as Abderrahman Mechkah, an 18-year-old Moroccan.

He was denied asylum in Finland.
