Two demonstrations were held in Helsinki on Thursday protesting against the visit of US President Joe Biden.
A group of demonstrators under the banner of "White Overalls," gathered in front of Parliament building and protested against the visit of the US President.
Another group of agitators gathered near Presidential Palace protesting against the establishment of NATO bases in Finland.
The protesters bearing colourful banners and festoons chanted various slogans, accusing the United States of fuelling wars.
They also demanded that NATO should cease its disruptive actions in Europe.
"We believe that US President Biden is not better than Russian President Vladimir Putin. The US initiates wars across the world,” one of the demonstrators said.
No unwanted situation, however, was taken place due to tight police security measures during the visit of the US President and the Nordic Prime Ministers.
Biden arrived in Finland late Wednesday night. He held a bilateral meeting with President Sauli Niinistö and attended the US-Nordic Leaders’ Summit hosted by Niinistö on Thursday.
He left Helsinki on Thursday evening.
