Shooting, stabbing injure 2 in Tampere, Helsinki

One person sustained bullet wounds when miscreant attacked the person with firearm at Hämeenpuisto park in Tampere on Monday while another person was stabbed at Vuosaar area in Helsinki on Sunday, said police in separate press releases on Monday.
Police said that in Tampere the incident took place at about 5:00 pm when the miscreant attacked the victim with firearm at the northern part of the park and the parking lot of Nääshalli.
The victim sustained bullet wounds at different parts of the body and was sent to the hospital in a critical condition.
Responding to an alarm, rescue services people and police rushed to the spot but the suspect left the scene by this time.
After the preliminary investigation, police suspected that the attacker targeted only one person during the firings.
“Considering the location and time of the incident, the situation has nevertheless been a significantly danger, because Hämeenpuisto is a busy park and several people were present at the time of attack,” said Ona Autere, Crime Inspector of the Inner Finland Police.
The police later arrested the suspect after conducting extensive search at the locality and adjoining areas.
Meanwhile, in another incident one person was injured when miscreants attacked the person with sharp blade at Punakivenkuja area in Vuosaari, Helsinki on Sunday evening at about 7:00 pm.
A 19-year old man was critically injured in the attack and was sent to hospital in a critical condition.
The police arrested four persons-two boys and one girl of 18 years and a man of 21 years old- in connection with the incident.
Police suspected that the attack was occurred as a sequel to drug related incident.
