Finnish leaders on Saturday strongly condemned the attacks on civilians in Israel and demanded immediate stop of the ongoing violence there.

President Sauli Niinistö, Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen expressed reactions over the attacks in their twitter posts where the Foreign Minister urged the Finnish citizens living in Israel to remain alert and follow the local instructions.

“The news of attacks on civilians in Israel is shocking. The violence must end. Finland strongly condemns terrorism in all its forms,” Niinistö wrote in his twitter in Finnish after the Hamas attack in Israel.

The Prime Minister also condemned the attacks and expressed solidarity with the victims and their families.

“I strongly condemn the terrorist attacks by Hamas against Israel. My solidarity is with the victims and their families. Finland condemns terrorism in all its forms,” Orpo wrote in his twitter, adding that Israel has the right to defend itself and its citizens in line with international law.

“I condemn in the strongest terms the terrorist rocket attacks targeting Israel this morning. My solidarity is with the innocent people affected,” Valtonen wrote in her twitter, urging Finnish nationals to remain vigilant and follow local instructions.

At least 100 Israelis were killed during a rocket and infiltrating attack by Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) since Saturday morning.

Israeli airstrikes in Gaza also killed 232 people responding to the rocket attack by Hamas.
