Finnish police will take part in ensuring security at a football match scheduled to be held in Stockholm on Sunday, said National Police Board in a press release on Friday.

The match will be plated in the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm and more than 20,000 spectators are expected.

Crowd control during the match will be implemented together with Swedish police. The goal of the activity is to practice both management and actual crowd control and cooperation in practical situations.

Nordic police cooperation in recent years has also developed in the crown control front. This is the first time that Finland is taking part in a crowd control duty with Sweden. Similar practical cooperation has taken place between Sweden and Norway and Sweden and Denmark.

The deployment and operation of police officers in the territory of another state is based on the Prüm Treaty.
