Charges in Kokoomus MP assault case filed

The Prosecutors filed charges in the incident of assaulting a lawmaker of the Kansallinen Kokoomus (National Coalition Party-NCP) and submitted to the Helsinki District Court on Friday, local media reported.
The charges were filed against a man, who allegedly made illegal threats and attacked member of parliament Ben Zyskowicz when he was running election campaign along with two party men at Itäkeskus metro station in Helsinki in March this year.
The accused, a 39-year-old man reportedly abused Zyskowicz for his Jewish heritage verbally and at certain stage punch him at the face.
Later the on-duty security guards caught him and handed over to the police.
The suspect admitted the incident to police during the interrogation.
Ben Zyskowicz is the longest-serving MP in Finland.
