Finland condoles at quakes victims in Japan

President Sauli Niinistö on Tuesday expressed condolence at the deaths of people in a series of earthquakes in Japan.

The President sent a letter to Emperor Naruhito and expressed condolences at the deaths of people in the devastating earthquakes, said the President Office in a post in social media platform X formerly known as twitter.

“President Niinistö has sent a letter to Emperor Naruhito expressing his deepest condolences over the devastating earthquakes in western Japan,” said the President Office in the post.

At least 55 people were killed in the central Japanese prefecture of Ishikawa as of Tuesday evening, after a series of powerful earthquakes hit the area in central Japan and the vicinity, with aftershocks.
