Bullet-riddled boy succumbs to wounds in Pori, 1 killed in Riihimäki

The 15-year-old boy, who sustained bullet wounds in a gun attack inside a private apartment building at Sampola area in Pori late Sunday night, succumbed to his wounds on Monday night, said police in a press release on Tuesday.

The police are now investigating into the case as suspected murder.

The involvement of four people, who were arrested on Monday in connection with the incident is still being investigated.

Police, however, did not divulge the identities of the victim or the suspects and did not disclose detail about the incident at the initial stage of the investigation.

“The police are investigating into the sequence of events took place in the apartment. At this stage of the investigation the police are not making detail comment on the suspected crime,” said lead investigator Antti Alitalo in the press release.

The incident took place at about 10:00 pm on the new year eve when the miscreants equipped with firearms attacked the boy and fired gunshots at him.

He was taken to the hospital in a critical condition where he succumbed to the wounds on Monday night.

Meanwhile, another person was killed in an apartment of a private building in Riihimäki, a municipality in southern Finland early Monday night, said police in another press release on Tuesday.

Police arrested one person in connection with the suspected murder.

Police did not disclose the identities of the deceased and the suspect. Members of the law enforcing also did not divulge detail about the murder at the preliminary stage of the investigation.
