Truck rams school girl to death in Lapinlahti

A 13-year-old school girl was run over by a truck in Lapinlahti on Thursday, reported the local media.
The police were notified at 12:35 pm that a girl had been run over by a truck at the Asiomäentie and Nerkoontie intersection in Lapinlahti.
According to preliminary information, the accident happened as the girl alighted from a bus and attempted to cross the road, when an incoming truck hit her.
The girl died on the spot despite resuscitation efforts.
The police are continuing with investigations.
