Man imprisoned for multiple sexual offences

The District Court of Southwest Finland on Friday sentenced a man to four years and a month in prison for sexual offences committed against minors, reported local daily Turun Sanomat.

The Turku resident was sentenced for aggravated child sexual abuse, multiple sexual exploitation charges against children among other offences.

The offences took place in Turku and Espoo.

The sex offence by the man born in 1969 targeted nine different underage complainants. In addition, a large of group of underage persons of the ages 10-15 among them foreigners have not disclosed their identities.

Most of the crimes were committed online while some involved physical contacts with the victims, which also related to sexual intercourse.
