Birth rate remains low in Finland in 2023

The number of births was 17,786 lower than that of deaths in Finland in 2023, according to Statistics Finland.
The preliminary data of the Statistics Finland said that Finland's population was 5,604,558 at the end of December 2023.
In the course of 2023, country’s population, however, grew by 40,588 persons. The reason for the population increase was migration gain from abroad since immigration exceeded emigration by 58,496. The number of immigrants was 21,920 higher in 2023 compared to the previous year.
