Finland condoles at death of Namibian President

President Sauli Niinistö on Sunday expressed condolence at the deaths of his Namibian counterpart Hage Geingob.
The President sent a letter to the family of Geingob expressing his condolences for the demise of the President, said the President Office in a post in social media platform X.
“President Niinisto has sent a letter, expressing his deepest condolences on the passing of President of Namibia Hage Geingob, to his family,” the President Office wrote in the post.
Namibian President Hage G. Geingob passed away early Sunday while receiving cancer treatment in a hospital in the capital city of Windhoek.
Geingob had served as Namibia's third president since March 21, 2015, and was re-elected for another five-year term in 2019. He served as prime minister in 1990-2002 and 2012-2015, in addition to other key ministerial and leadership roles.
