Man killed in Oulu, suspect held

One person was killed inside an apartment building in Oulu, a municipality in North Ostrobothnia region on Friday, police said in a press release on Sunday.

Responding to an alarm, rescue service people and police rushed to the spot and recovered the body of a man from inside the private apartment.

Police said that they found several marks of injuries and blood at different parts of the body.

Members of the law enforcing agency conducted extensive search at the locality and adjacent areas and arrested one person, a 30-year old man as a suspect of the murder on Friday evening.

Police, however, did not divulge the identities of the victim and the suspect and their relation.

Police did not disclose the motive of the killing at the initial stage of the investigation.

The investigation is going on and police are interrogating the suspect to find out the reason behind the murder.
