2 killed, 1 injured in Somero road mishap

Two people were killed and another was injured in a road accident at Jakkula area in Somero, a municipality in South-western Finland on Sunday afternoon, police said.
The accident took place on Helsinki road (Helsingintie) when two private cars collided head-on at about 1:00 pm.
Two elderly people onboard a same car was killed on the spot while another person of the rest car was injured critically in the accident. The injured person was taken to hospital.
The police, however, did not divulge the identities of the deceased and the injured person.
The reason behind the accident could not be known.
Police and the Accident Investigation Board are investigating into the accident to find out the reason behind it.
The accident disrupted vehicular movements on the road for several hours.
