Niinistö for finding more ways to collectively help Ukraine

President Sauli Niinistö on Monday underscored the need for finding out more ways to collectively help Ukrainians in their fight for freedom.

Speaking at a meeting on support for Ukraine in Paris, the President also assured to step up efforts to support Ukraine.

“Today (Monday) in Paris, we discussed how we can further strengthen our support for Ukraine. It is essential to find more ways to collectively help Ukrainians in their fight for freedom,” Niinistö wrote in his social media platform X after the meeting where representatives from 20 European countries participated.

The President also thanked his France counterpart Emmanuel Macron for hosting the meeting to discuss and find common ways to support Ukraine more effectively.

Niinistö pointed out that Finland already sent 22 aid packages in addition to defence material worth about 1.8 billion euros so far and said that the support to Ukraine would be continued.
