Stubb, Karis discuss bilateral ties, Ukraine over phone

President Alexander Stubb on Tuesday had a telephone conversation with his Estonian counterpart Alar Karis and discussed various bilateral and international issues, said the President Office in a press release.

The presidents discussed relations between Finland and Estonia, closer cooperation and contacts between the countries, common security challenges and the importance of supporting Ukraine, said the Finnish President Office.

After the phone call Karis said that the two neighbouring countries will be working together on all issues to further the excellent ties.

“Had a very good conversation with President Alexander Stubb, looking forward to greet him in Estonia for a State Visit in May.Estonia and Finland will be working together on all issues to further the excellent ties. Our region is integrated - we're thrilled to see the Sweden flying at NATO headquarters!” Karis wrote in a post in social media platform X after the discussion.
